San Jose
San Jose is a 1,985 hectare gold project in Jujuy Province, northern Argentina. On the project high-grade gold has been discovered in vein occurrences with the potential for disseminated bulk tonnage gold mineralization. The property lies within a northeast-trending belt measuring 30km by 130km that has a long history of gold production dating back to Inca times.
Preliminary assay results on the San Jose property from 10 samples that were collected along strike over 1,400 metres of a veined alteration zone. Results ranged from 18 ppb gold to 12.18 g/t gold, all but two having greater than 0.3 g/t gold technical summary.
A geological mapping and soil-sampling program is currently underway at the San Jose property. The first phase soil sampling has covered the 1,500 by 500 m area where the rock chips were collected. It consists of 167 samples gathered every 50 m along 16 lines spaced 100 m apart. Results are currently awaited. The rest of the property is being surveyed using composite talus fine samples.
