Mr. Joseph Grosso
Position: President, CEO and Director
Mr. Grosso founded IMA Exploration Inc. (“IMA”) in 1993 and was one of the pioneers of the mining sector in Argentina. In July 2004, Golden Arrow Resources was formed as a spin-off of the highly successful IMA. Mr. Grosso's knowledge of South America, strong family ties to Argentina, and Latin background, were all instrumental in developing the network of contacts required to make IMA an industry leader and this network has focused its efforts on Golden Arrow. Mr. Grosso has pooled the talent of some of the best and brightest in the industry, and combined this with his outstanding contact base in the America's and the global financial community.
Dr. David Terry, P.Geo.
Position: Vice President Exploration and Director
Dr. Terry's 15 years experience has focused on exploration for a wide spectrum of precious and base metal deposits throughout North and South America. His experience has included international project management, management of exploration programs for both major and junior mining companies, as well as independent consulting assignments. He was formerly a Regional Geologist with the British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines and has worked for numerous mining companies including Boliden Limited, Westmin Resources Limited, Hemlo Gold Mines Inc., Cominco Limited and Gold Fields Mining Corporation.
Mr. David J. Horton, B.Comm., MBA.
Position: Director*
Mr. Horton has been with Canaccord Capital Inc. for 13 years, where he holds the position of Senior V.P. Corporate Finance. His position on the Board adds a broader third party dimension through the many areas of his professional involvement in structuring, advising and financing numerous public companies. IMA & Golden Arrow Resources are the only Board positions he currently holds.
Mr. Leonard Harris
Position: Director
Mr. Harris' vast experience in South America complements Golden Arrow's long-standing presence in Argentina. For 21 years he worked with Newmont Mining Corp., holding numerous positions, including General Manager of Newmont Latin America. Presently, he is Chairman of Resource Development Inc. and Chairman Emeritus of the Mining, Energy and Petroleum Task Force, Chamber of the Americas. Mr. Harris has received numerous awards, including the MMSA Gold Medal, Western Mining Hall of Fame Medal of Merit, Newmont Chairman Award, the Peruvian Society of Engineers, Engineer of the Year Award and the Peruvian College of Journalism Award. He is a Legion of Honor Member of SME and received from SME/AIME the Saunders Gold Medal, Krumb Lecturer, President's Citation, Distinguished Member and Arthur C. Daman Lifetime Achievement awards.
Mr. Nikolaos Cacos, M.I.M.
Position: Director
Mr. Cacos brings over 14 years of management expertise in the mineral exploration industry. His career includes administration and strategic planning for public companies in a diverse range of industries. Mr. Cacos currently serves as an officer and director of a number of TSX Venture Exchange listed companies. He holds a Master of International Management degree from Heidelberg, Germany and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia.
Dr. John B. Gammon
Position: Director*
Dr. Gammon has 40 years of experience in mineral exploration and management, including international positions with Falconbridge, Assistant Deputy Minister Mines and Minerals with the Government of Ontario and, since his retirement, as ADM as a consultant working with industry, governments and universities. In addition to Dr. Gammon's mineral exploration experience he has also spent a significant amount of time on aboriginal community and environmental issues. His knowledge of the Spanish language and South American culture and societies brings a depth, in addition to his industry experience, that can assist the Company with the advancement of its South American projects in Peru and Argentina.
Ms. Linda McClusky
Position: Secretary
Ms. McClusky serves as Corporate Secretary for the Grosso Group member companies. She has over 18 years experience working with corporate counsel at both U.S. and Canadian companies
